A long-time professional musical educator, Marcus brings both his performance and educational skills into the band, helping his bandmates' understanding of musical theory as well as providing a solid beat for the rest of the band to build over. In his own words:
 
“I provide the steady foundation that the band can work from. I don’t play the flashiest drum parts in the world but my goal is to play the easy stuff well to lift (the) band. My job is to be solid ground. Or to make sand feel solid whichever makes more sense to you. I mostly just turn up though.”

When not behind the kit, Marcus can also be seen assisting Matt in engineering the Manbergs' records.
